TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LA VACA'S ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ASSISTANT
1. Purpose
This document establishes the terms and conditions governing the use of the automated artificial intelligence assistant (hereinafter, the "Assistant") available through the official WhatsApp channel of La Vaca – Parrilla Gourmet (hereinafter, "La Vaca"), whose purpose is to provide general information about the restaurant, manage reservation requests, and send informational or visual material related to the menu.
2. Functional scope of the Assistant
2.1. The Assistant is designed to:
- Answer general questions about the restaurant (hours, location, payment methods, services, etc.);
- Take reservations for date, time, and number of people; and
- Send images or menu information.
2.2. The Assistant does not perform the following functions:
- Modify or cancel existing reservations;
- Process payments or charges;
- Receive complaints or refund requests;
- Provide direct human assistance;
- Confirm take away or delivery orders; or
- Any other action not expressly mentioned in section 2.1.
3. Nature of the service
3.1. The user acknowledges that the Assistant uses artificial intelligence technologies to generate automatic responses and that such responses may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
3.2. The information provided by the Assistant is merely informative and does not constitute a contractual offer nor commit La Vaca beyond the express confirmation of each service.
3.3. La Vaca may review conversations held with the Assistant for quality control and service improvement purposes.
3.4. The Assistant may improve its responses using data derived from previous interactions, respecting the privacy principles established in this document.
3.5. Should the user wish to communicate with human staff, they must do so directly by telephone to the restaurant's official numbers.
4. Personal data processing
4.1. The Assistant may record personal data necessary for reservation management, such as name, date, time, and number of people.
4.2. Data may be integrated into internal reservation management systems or restaurant databases, exclusively for operational service purposes.
4.3. La Vaca does not share personal information with third parties outside the restaurant.
4.4. Conversations and collected data will be retained for a maximum period of two (2) years from their registration, unless a legal provision requires a longer period.
4.5. Users may request deletion of their personal data by writing an email to info@lavaca.com.uy.
5. Reservations and confirmations
5.1. Reservations made through the Assistant will only be considered valid once the user receives express confirmation through the selected medium (email, SMS, or other available channel).
5.2. If such confirmation is not received, the user must contact the restaurant by telephone to verify the status of their request.
6. Limitation of liability
6.1. La Vaca does not guarantee the accuracy, currency, or completeness of information generated by the Assistant.
6.2. La Vaca will not be responsible for service interruptions, connection errors, response delays, or technical failures beyond its control.
6.3. The user is responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide during interaction with the Assistant.
7. Use of the communication channel
7.1. The WhatsApp channel may be used by La Vaca to:
- Handle general inquiries;
- Manage reservations;
- Send automatic reservation reminders or confirmations;
- Share promotions, events, and commercial communications; and
- Conduct surveys or request feedback on customer experience.
8. Modifications to the terms
La Vaca reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on the official website https://lavaca.com.uy/assistant-terms.
9. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay. Any dispute arising from their interpretation or compliance will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the ordinary courts of the city of Montevideo.
10. Acceptance
By initiating or continuing the conversation with La Vaca's Assistant, the user declares having read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions.
